Probably, this series can be safely called the most beautiful of all the “analogues” of that time (and this is the very beginning of the 90s). Interestingly, the Amiga was their “native” platform – however, the PC version was slightly worse (if anything at all different).At one time, the developers – Silmarils – generally had the audacity to call their development a “benchmark” for RPGs, but, funny as it may seem, they had some right to do so, because Ishar, of course, is made at a very high level – especially with regard to graphics. The principle of “pseudo-three-dimensionality” – “frame-by-frame” movement along four axes with turns at right angles – at that time was very widespread among RPGs. All three parts of Ishar’a precisely this principle and adhere, for nothing, that at the time of the release of the third part (94), much more “perfect” game engines already existed in nature. Alas, alas. The only radical difference between Ishar III is the digitized images (photographs) of the game characters.
